Why sector changes the drawing
A slab is not a slab. In a hospital it is perforated by services that were designed after the frame; in a data centre it carries equipment loads that will change twice before handover; in a water treatment structure it is governed by crack width and cover rather than strength; in a metro box it is built inside a possessions programme where a late drawing costs a weekend.
Sector experience shows up in three concrete places: which questions get asked at intake, which automated checks are switched on, and how the drawing set is structured for the people who will read it on site. That is why these pages exist per sector rather than as one page with the noun swapped.
Buildings
Commercial buildings — repetitive frames, tenant fit-out change, and coordination with façade and services packages that arrive on different programmes.
Residential buildings — high repetition, tight tolerances between trades, and precast or modular strategies that only pay if the detailing is right first time.

Common questions
Do you work outside these eighteen sectors?
Yes. These are the sectors where the work is regular enough to have documented intake questions and configured check sets. Structures outside them are taken on the same way, with the intake step doing more work at the start to establish which standards, tolerances and checks govern.
Does sector experience actually change the deliverable?
It changes three things: which questions we ask before production starts, which automated checks are switched on, and how the drawing set is structured for the people reading it on site. A metro set built for possessions and a warehouse set built for speed are organised differently even when the steel is similar.
Can one team cover a project that spans sectors?
Yes, and mixed projects are common — a data centre with a substation, a hospital with a bridge link, an industrial site with roads and water structures. It runs as one engagement with one register, and the check configuration varies by package rather than by contract.
